Seems like the right thing to do

is to make sure that everyone sees this:

“I will make sure you will never be able to place an order on the internet again.” “I’m an attorney, I will sue you.” “I will call the CEO of your company and play him the tape of this phone call.” “I’m going to call your local police and have two officers come over and arrest you.” “You’d better get this through your thick skull.” “You have no idea who you are dealing with.”

These are all direct threats that I received today from an individual who identified himself as Steve Phillips, the manager of PriceRitePhoto in Brooklyn, New York when I called to inquire about my order with them. My crime? Telling him that I planned to write an article about my unfortunate experience with his company regarding the camera order I had placed with him yesterday.

I report it exactly as I got it. I always wondered how these people were able to sell cameras so cheaply from NYC. Now I know. They don’t.

  1. Good one. I think it behooves anyone who ordered from them to call their credit card company right away.

That Hawk guy’s in Frisco. He can get ’em cheaper down at the docks, fresh from fallin’ off a ship.

I recently bought a camera from Abe’s of Maine, which is actually in brooklyn. I let them talk me in to buying some extra crap for some reason, and when it arrived I RMA’d the extra stuff it and sent it back, keeping just the camera. I got the refund on my credit card, so I was just out the return shipping on the crumby lenses and etc. Now I feel lucky to have gotten off so easy! They were really hesitant to issue the RMA too.
